Hey, hey!
Haven't written for a while, thought I'd let some things accumulate before I lay down the word:
Music and art pages under continuous improvement.
Can't stop, won't stop. I've been exchanging emails with Apple Artist Support in order to remove my old artist page from the Apple Music Store. Other than that I'm working on learning how to use more DAWs as I write to you. Plans include LMMS & OpenMPT and a refresher on my techniques and some music theory too.
In the past I wanted to get into strudel it's a live coding platform to make music on, which is a very interesting project to work with even partially (see Dj_Dave). I might do so, when I get into JS more intentionally via the coding school I attend.
It's refreshing to listen to old songs with the ability to wear partially different mindsets than the one I used to create the tracks in. And it makes me think a lot about how my mind used to work, when it came to algorithmic and sequential thinking. Ι've been keeping notes on my findings.
That goes for visual art as well. I've been working with different mediums recently and I've been studying about mixed media collages. As I write this, I've just been informed that a book in anatomy I've ordered is ready to pick up. So lots of excitement and you'll be seeing my portfolio populating with stuff silently.
Allocation of time to keep things flowy.
I've been into a discussion with a couple of very close people and my partner. Well, it seems that I like coding, journaling and working with code and reading about code a lot more than I thought. I don't get burned out however, and it creates a complaint from these people, because I don't have time for other things.
As far as I know, it may seem a little altruistic and not easy to think about, I'd be okay with someone I care about a lot, working on creating things via creative means like coding, music and illustration as long as they took care of themselves. Either way, I don't know. It's good to create boundaries, the question is towards who and/or what?
I'll try to set myself a schedule and "boxes to check", even though time and time again I wasn't very good with following them. Discipline applies to me, when I like something a lot, so it might help.
Benches on fire.
I'm continuing working on Benchtalks, the web app backend runs in Go since last week along with the help and the recommendation of cohorts, that were interested in the project.
Soon I'll be updating the changelog in the respective page for v1.3. Next milestone is already set, and I've been a lot more in defensive coding and looking into cybersecurity knowledge and infrastructures. I enjoy working on this and I hope it helps all the people that want to use it. After a while it will be maintenance work, but I bet it will still be lovely.
Thank you for reading so far~!
Hope you have an amazing rest of the month and an even better weekend! Stay tuned for more!
